Rebate Processor Jobs, Scam or Not?

Alright, I'm back again and the topic of today is Rebate Processors Positions! Seriously, these things are listed all over the Internet and everybody seems to be hopping all over them. I know I just started this blog, but I've been doing my best to keep things here true and to keep you guys FAR away from these scammers that intend to do you harm. I know it seems like this is something to get hopeful over, but let me be the bearer of bad news for you. THIS IS JUST ANOTHER MISLEADING WAY FOR YOU TO GET RIPPED OFF. It's not a total ripoff, but the way it's being represented is totally off and the reason why this isn't something you should get involved in.
Here’s What You’re Promised As A Rebate Processor
The world on a silver platter. Yeah right! What you are really promised is the ability to process rebates for various companies and these companies supposedly pay $10 - $15 per rebate. Supposedly you will be trained and you'll get paid daily, blah, blah, blah. But, wait for it, here's the catch, in order to start this, you'll need to pay anywhere from $29 - $49 dollars! When was the last time you paid someone to start a new job? Not a business opportunity, A JOB! They have got to be joking!
Here’s How Rebate Processor Positions Really Work
  • Authors of e-books or systems give you a list of products to sell
  • The companies that own these products pay a commission for every one you sell.
  • You’re provided a list of free classified sites.
  • You’re also provided with ads to put on these sites.
This is when the work begins. You head over to these free classified sites and post ads designed to encourage people to buy the products on your list. The catch is that in your ad, you have a statement that says something to the effect of how you will pay people to buy said product, also known as a rebate. This is when the scam rears its ugly head. Since you only get a commission when the products are sold, you really can't afford to pay anyone any form of rebate that you are promising in your ad. See the scam now?
Time For a Little Clarity
There are real companies that will pay you a commission for selling products or referring people to them. I can't say whether or not it is worth quitting your day job for, but they do exist. One of these really popular places is Swagbucks. It's an awesome place where you can earn points by watching videos, playing games, searching the Internet, making purchases, referring friends and more. Those points can easily be converted into gift cards, clothing, electronics and even donations. It's an awesome site and I truly do love Swagbucks and all of its rewards.
Back to the scam. The actual information is valuable, it's just their presentation of the "job" that makes it so bad. If someone told you that you could earn a full time living using Swagbucks, but didn't tell you about the rewards system, the ways to earn points, etc, you would feel scammed. But, in actuality, it's the representation of it that's the scam. So, let's just say that you can't call these things jobs, only ways to earn a little extra to help ease some tensions.
Bottom line is Internet Marketers walk a very fine line between marketing and lying...and they do this DAILY. And in the case of rebate processing, data entry and typing e-books they just slide up and down that line. So, the next time you come across this type of thing and the cost is $39.95, just remember, it's probably being misrepresented and you can probably find everything they are selling for free if you just research a little bit.
So, Scam or What?
So, my thoughts are above and, depending on your open-mindedness, you might be thinking SCAM!!!! Unfortunately, I can't tell you what to think. I would stay far away from them, but you may choose to do something different. My purpose is to give you this information and keep you informed.
So, where is your head at? What are you thinking? I'm really interested in what you guys think, so you can always drop a comment and I'll be sure to respond.
